Field Technology / GA Applications

Field technology / Forms

Capture the right field information once, against the right job.

Digital job forms guide field users through the information, checks and evidence required for a specific task. GA Applications converts suitable paper or spreadsheet processes into mobile forms with conditional questions, validation, offline drafts, signatures or media where justified, and a controlled path into job records, review queues and dashboards.

Field record stateVisible · accountable · recoverable

One complete path from assigned work to usable evidence.

The interface is only one layer. Identity, job records, evidence quality, review, sync, failure handling and ownership must work as one operating system.

01

Assign

Current job, person, prerequisites and access.

02

Work

Clear next action on a practical mobile interface.

03

Return

Structured evidence with visible sync state.

04

Review

Named people check exceptions and approve outcomes.

Working interaction

Make system state impossible to miss.

This contained digital job forms demonstration shows what a trustworthy field interface must communicate. It sends no information and changes no real record.

Choose a state and save to see the feedback a field user needs.

Design each question around a real use.

We remove duplicated or unused fields, define options and units, and show questions only when they apply.

01.1

Input

Choose controls that match the information and field conditions.

01.2

Validation

Explain what is missing or inconsistent before submission.

Make progress and save state obvious.

Users can understand the form length, pause safely, attach permitted evidence and see whether a submission has reached the server.

02.1

Draft

Save locally or remotely according to the security model.

02.2

Confirmation

Return a reference and sync state, not a vague success screen.

Route each submission to the correct record and reviewer.

Job identifiers, user identity and version context travel with the form, while exceptions enter visible queues.

03.1

Job update

Attach approved results to the job timeline.

03.2

Review

Require sign-off for consequential or incomplete submissions.

Control form versions, edits and sensitive fields.

Published templates need an owner, effective date, testing and change approval; submitted records need permission and retention rules.

04.1

Version

Preserve which questions and instructions a user completed.

04.2

Edit history

Record material corrections and their authorised reason.

Prototype with the people who complete and review it.

We test a representative job, device, offline scenario and exception before replacing the existing process.

05.1

Field test

Check language, sequence, tap targets and evidence capture.

05.2

Office test

Verify review, export, job linkage and failed-sync recovery.

Questions worth answering

What teams ask before they commit.

Can you convert any paper form?
We can assess it, but digitisation often requires redesign. Some legal, specialist or customer-mandated formats may need to remain or require formal review.
Can forms include signatures and photos?
Yes where their purpose, consent, storage, access and evidential meaning are defined. A captured signature should not be presented as legally conclusive without appropriate review.

Bring the current form

Turn one field document into a working mobile journey.

We will review its questions, evidence, approvals and destination before prototyping.
